Alliston is one of the four towns making up the Town of New Tecumseth along with Beeton, Tottenham and Tecumseth. Located in the County of Simcoe and built along the meandering Nottawasaga River. The town boasts some of Southern Ontario's most magnificent scenery and offers residents and visitors a safe and pleasant place to live and explore.
Centrally located with excellent roads and easy access to the 400 series highways and less than an hour south to Toronto and the International Airport. Also close to some of Ontario's best lakes and ski resorts with a host of activities available year round.
Alliston is the home of Honda Canada, one of the areas major employers, since 1990 New Tecumseth has experienced a population growth more than double the provincial average. The projected growth is estimated at a rate of 41% over a 20 year period (1996-2016) and these numbers are now being revised.
Alliston also has the distinction of being the potato capitol of Ontario with is vast acreage committed to the growing of the might spud, each year in August the annual potato festival draws crowds of visitors from all over Southern Ontario.
